The Wordpress platform is very powerful and includes many great features.  Unfortunately a number of those features require regular updating in order for your web site to run smoothly.  Like everything on the Internet it is also a target for hackers and virus threats.  For that reason it is very important to keep the software that runs Wordpress updated.  Wordpress is very good at releasing regular software updates and alerting you of those when you are logged in. It is easy to perform the updates but there is also a chance that content could be loss if not performed correctly.  This service I offer is a monthly administrator package where I will keep your web site updated at all times and monitor for any problems.

The service includes the following:

1. I will check weekly for Wordpress software updates – if one is available then I will personally update your web site at that time and test for any errors.
2. I will update and optimize all installed plugins on a bi-weekly basis.  It is important to keep plugins updated just like it is to keep Wordpress updated.  At times plugins may stop working with brand new versions of Wordpress – that is something I will test and check before performing any updates. That way you don’t have to worry about your site suddenly not working.
3. I will backup all content on a bi-weekly basis.
4. I will backup the database running Wordpress on a bi-weekly basis.  It is important to keep this backed up as your entire web site is bring run from one database.  If something were to happen to that database then your site will not work.  Think of the database as your computer – 99% of the time it is fine but rare errors can and do happen.
5. I will also send you a monthly traffic report so you can stay updated on how many people are visiting your web site along with tips on how to increase that total.
